Why Walk the Talk?
Cater Care’s Caring in the Community Corporate Social Responsibility program is our promise to give back to the communities we live and work in. It’s about helping our team support vulnerable Australians everywhere, and what better way to make a difference than by helping save lives?
This May, we’re inviting all our team members to take part in 2025’s Walk the Talk by Cater Care campaign. We’ll be walking 65 kilometres throughout May – representing the 65,000 Australians who attempt suicide each year – while building awareness and raising funds to support Lifeline’s vital work.
Every step you take will spark conversations, break down the stigma, and help create a future where people struggling with their mental health are met with understanding and support.

Start the talking
Start the conversation by letting everyone know that you’re Walking the Talk for Lifeline! Consider asking your friends and families to help support people going through tough times by donating to your fundraiser.

Add the walking
Pull on your runners and start tracking your kilometres walked throughout May. You only need to walk two kilometres per day, and don’t forget to grab your friends and have a meaningful conversation – it could help save a life.
Who will you Walk the Talk for?
Suicide can touch the lives of anyone, no matter who are where they are. A member of Cater Care’s Remote team bravely shared her personal story about losing a loved one to suicide and how the Caring in the Community program inspired her to start pushing for change.
“Only four months ago, my family lost our daughter’s partner through suicide. Firstly, I received so much support from my colleagues out here in our Remote workplace. It has been so heartfelt. When I read about our Caring in the Community program, it sent shivers all over me and I knew this was my time to talk more about this, as hard as it is/was to talk about and share this painful journey. I want to help stop the stigma around mental health.”
